Our Purpose, Mission and Sponsorship?

Right guys we need to start thinking about what cause(s) we are going to do this for and then we can start to put the wheels in motion for sponsorship deals and jersey designs!!! Fire in your thoughts and suggest we put it to the vote once everyone has had chance to voice their views.

  1. I'm easy going as to the charity we decide upon. Best to go with just the one though as Joe says, unless we raise loads!!

Jersey design at http://www.owayo.com/main.php?sport=cycling&product=bikejerseys&dl=radtrikots&lang=en&gclid= . Use the username and password I supplied earlier, then we can all check on progress. Make sure you leave plenty of plain colour for all the sponsors though!!

  2. Nice work Phil.

For my initial 5 penn'orth here's my preference

Classically simple, predominantly white in case the weather is hot, and an unfussy enough design to be seen a good way off.

  3. Nice and simple design, Clive. Bound to be popular with Joe. Personally I prefer a bit more colour. I've always thought that cycling jerseys should be bold and colourful! How about some more contributions? There's bound to be a designer amongst us!
ps Clive, every time I log into this site I'm faced with that clock ticking down. Scares me to death!!

  4. I'm disappointed you don't like my countdown clock, it took me ages to get it working.

I'm not averse to colour in the design, as long as it's not too dark it shouldn't be a problem (won't get too hot). I would advise that any design should be easily visible some way off, that's particularly good on a long event as it gives those further back (usually me) someone to chase when you see your mates a way off out in front.

  5. Nothing against the clock, it's looking at it and seeing the seconds ticking away. Must get out and train!!

ps I'll need binoculars to see any one in front of me!!

pps When I said 'nice and simple design, bound to be popular with Joe' it's because he likes black and white jerseys! Please do not misconstrue in any other way!! Now where's my shovel to dig myself out of this hole!

  6. No hole, I understand what you meant.

Training would be a good idea, or so I though before last night's "endurance spinning session". 1,150 calories and 80 minutes later, I needed recovering from the floor by the side of the bike......

Where are all those budding designers?

  7. Just uploaded my design. I went for the polka dot option of course!

Regarding the weekend in Wales, it's something I'll definitly be up for doing, but not until after January due to exams, and more importantly the fact that I need to get some decent training in - the weather is pretty grim up north at the moment!

  8. Good to see a few designs coming in now.

Quite like the polka dot one. Not sure with my climbing abilities if I can carry that one off though!!

  9. Nice to see so many designs appearing. I have to be honest, if I were to ride wearing Polka Dots, it would have to be a red jersey with white dots, thus denoting that I am the antithesis of a hill climber.
